Insignis, Inc. Announces Availability of Futures Data Services for Investment Managers Chicago, July 6, 2010 --- Insignis, Inc., a financial industry data collection and aggregation firm, announces the broad market availability of its newest services for investment managers: the Futures Data Aggregation Service and the Futures Data Reconciliation Service. The Futures Data Aggregation Service is a data management service which provides investment managers with timely, comprehensive and secure account information to optimize daily futures settlement activities. The Futures Data Reconciliation Service is an extension to the Aggregation Service that performs daily reconciliation of futures. Insignis has been collecting and managing data on futures contracts and options on futures, as well as other derivative contracts, from brokers and investment managers on behalf of major plan sponsors for over ten years. For the past two years, the firm has been working with several leading investment managers to develop and productize the new data aggregation and reconciliation services to address critical operational needs in the back offices of investment managers trading futures and options of futures. The futures industry requires that all accounts be reconciled and settled daily on T+1, placing a strain on the reconciliation and settlement processes at investment managers who use multiple futures clearing brokers and have clients at multiple custodians. Operations teams can spend as much time identifying discrepancies between the clearing brokers' statements and their internal books and records as they spend resolving those discrepancies. The new Insignis services offer investment managers easy access to T+1 futures broker detail and summary information as reported by the clearing broker firms. This allows the investment manager's operations team to shift their time and efforts from the collection of information to actionable activities such as resolving discrepancies between the futures brokers' systems and the investment manager's internal records, and submitting wire transfer instructions to the appropriate broker or custodian. Insignis Futures Data Aggregation Service provides direct connectivity to futures brokerage firms. A comprehensive futures product database (which is Insignis' global security master for futures contracts) is used to standardize the varied ways in which individual brokers identify a particular contract via broker-specific product code maps as well as addressing the issues of price formatting. There are also maps to standardize the executing broker information on give-up trades. The result is a single database containing data from all of the clearing brokers in standardized form. Insignis Futures Data Reconciliation Service provides an automated reconciliation process for managers who deliver futures account data to Insignis each day. That data from the investment manager is standardized using the same tools as are used with the clearing broker data so that reports comparing trade details, cash activity, positions, total equity summary values, and other values, can be automatically produced and ready for use first thing each morning. Together, these hosted investment data management services provide the following functionality:
